Clipping coupons is a great way to save money on groceries, I’m sure we can all agree on that. However, who really has the time to spend scouring over sales ads, digging through the newspaper, and clipping coupon after coupon? I have to admit, the majority of the coupons I use, I get online. It’s just easier for me, and doesn’t require a newspaper subscription or purchases of multiple Sunday papers. (Stay tuned for a future blog post with more details on online coupons.)
To really save money using coupons, it’s hard work. But there’s another way to save money on groceries…and it doesn’t require clipping or searching for sales papers. It’s Angel Food Ministries, of course! Most of my readers are already aware of this fact, and order on a regular basis, but I wanted to make sure others across the nation have every
opportunity to hear about this program. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denomonational organization that makes it possible for Americans in 41 states (and growing, by the way) to save money on high quality food items every single month. Each month, a menu is published and host sites take orders until the order deadline date. You pay for your order when you place it. All host sites take cash and food stamps, and others like us, accept money orders, and credit/debit cards, as well. Many of us are even set up to take orders online! Then everyone who ordered for that month comes on distribution day to pick up their order. Each box is filled with high quality nutritious food that will amaze you. The most amazing thing, though, is that there are no applications to fill out, no requirements to meet, no income limits, and no limits on the quantity you can purchase!
If you want to see what’s on the menu for July 2009, just click the Menu tab at the top of this blog site. The menu is also available on the Angel Food Ministries website.
If you need to save money on your groceries, I suggest you take a peek at the Angel Food Ministries website. You can search for host sites in your area by entering your ZIP code.
By the way, there’s no requirement that the food you purchase be used by you. You can order food for other families in your area that may need a little help with their food budget! So reach out and give someone a hand up in their time of need.

Good to see that people still know what they are talking about.
Nice!
